What is The LIGHTHOUSE?
The LIGHTHOUSE is Lakeside Christian Church's Kid's Ministry that exists to partner with parents as we LIGHT the way for children to grow in Christ. The LIGHTHOUSE programming is kid-friendly and age-appropriate that features large/small group formatting for children Birth-5th grade.

When you come to The LIGHTHOUSE at Lakeside you get to learn about God, Jesus and the Bible through games, music, drama, teaching and small groups. The LIGHTHOUSE is here so that you feel welcomed, loved, cared for while having fun and learning about our amazing God and his Word. From these experiences we want you to be able to G.L.O.W. (Go Light Our World) with what you learned at The LIGHTHOUSE.

Sunday Mornings at Lakeside
The lighthouse strives to make the morning excellent for the children who enter our doors. Check out our age divisions and what is offered during both of our morning services.

Nursery (Babies-3years) Parents can attend worship or a class knowing that their child is being cared for in a safe, loving environment. A consistent group of volunteers is there each Sunday to welcome and care for each little LIGHTHOUSE child. Toddlers (2-3years) begin to have the the truths of God's love shared through singing, Bible stories and games. |

Pre-K The LIGHTHOUSE Kids who range in ages of 3 1/2 through 5 years old will know and believe these 3 truths by the time they graduate:
*God made me
*God loves me
*Jesus wants to be my forever friend
Thru creative, biblically based teaching, music and small group activities, children will begin to understand who our wonderful God is!

Elementary (Grades K-5)
While both hours are the same for The LIGHTHOUSE Kids up to Kindergarten, The LIGHTHOUSE Kids who are in K-5th grade dive deeper into the Bible during our 9:00 a.m. hour in a Sunday School type setting. This hour gives these LIGHTHOUSE Kids a chance to grow deeper in their journey of knowing Jesus and how to live it out in their lives.
During our 10:30 a.m. hour Kids Worship challenges these LIGHTHOUSE Kids to make wise choices, trust God no matter what and treat others the way they want to be treated. This is accomplished by offering creative biblically based large group teaching and then finished up in age dividied small group time with various games and activities. This learning style helps kids to learn how to live out their faith Monday through Saturday at school, home, sports team, wherever! |

We will be putting on a children's musical December 3 at 3:00 p.m. and December 4 at 2:00 p.m. We are just getting things rolling and here is some pertinent information for those who would like to get involved.
Interviews: September 4 & 11 (sign up at the guest reception desk at the church or contact janet@lakesidechristian.com)
Practices: The Sundays of September 4 through November 27 at 10:30 a.m. (anyone participating MUST attend both hours on Sunday)
Tech Rehearsal Week: November 28-30th (6:00 - 7:00 p.m.)
December 1 (5:30 - 6:30 p.m.)
December 2 (5:30 - 8:30 p.m.) final rehearsal

Sunday and Wednesday Nights at LIGHTHOUSE KIDS

Being a preteen can be a rough time of one's life. This is why at Lakeside we want to celebrate those who are crossing the bridge from childhood into teenage. Meeting monthly for the 1st semester, 4th & 5th graders can enjoy a time together each month as they learn more about God in preteen terms as well as having a sense of community in a small group setting.
Join us September 11, October 2, November 13 and December 11 at 6:00 p.m. as we lift up "School Days" with curriculum from preteenministry.net. The "School Days" curriculum features discussion on Acceptance, Popularity and Friendships that will help the 4th/5th graders learn to LIVE IN FAITH TODAY. We will also celebrate with a service project and Christmas party.

At Lakeside, we believe strongly in doing life together and have small groups for adults that meet on a regular basis. We also know what's good for adults is good for kids as well. So we have designed Kidz Community Groupz (KCGz) to help 4 year olds-3rd grade have a place for mentoring, unity and community.
The Meal (5:30 - 5:55 p.m.)
We have a meal prepared to make it easy on you to get here and not have to worry about getting everyone fed and to the church in time.
The Deal (6:00 - 7:00 p.m.)
Small group lesson time where we will be studying WHAT'S IN THE BIBLE curriculum that presents God's word in a fun and creative way that is relevant to children.
The Seal (7:00 - 7:30 p.m.)
After sitting and learning it's time to let loose and play. There will be activities to help your kid burn off that extra energy before bedtime.
KCGz begin September 14th through November 16th. A community service project will also be part of our evening together as well as a Holiday Party on the last evening (11/16).
Child care will be offered for children Birth-3 years old. 4th-5th graders, Jr High and adults looking to serve, please contact janet@lakesidechristian.com.
