Sin City: What Happens in Corinth Stays in Corinth
We jokingly repeat the popular tag line: "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." This line entices us to believe that sin can be exhilarating, playful, even harmless. But is this true? Like Vegas, Corinth had proudly established herself as a pleasure capital in the first century. Tragically, like the city of Corinth, the church at Corinth was beginnng to lose her way. The book of 1 Corinthians was written to teach us about the power of God's grace, the lure of sin, and the dangers of losing our way in a godless culture.
