Help Lakeside kids make wise choices, trust Jesus no matter what, and treat others with kindness.

There are lots of ways to serve in The Lighthouse, Lakeside's Children's ministry department.  Listed below you will find the many volunteer positions available.

• Nursery.  Do you love babies?  Then this is the spot for you.  Hold, rock and pray over our littlest ones.  This is a once a month commitment.
• 2's & 3's.  A little bit of play, a little bit of singing, a little bit of Bible story telling and you can have a great morning with children ages 2-3 years old.  This class is designed to have 2 volunteers each service to help them grow and learn in god's love.  Once a month/ bi-weekly commitment, either service.
• Pre-School.  Teaching children ages 4-5 years old through creative Bible stories, singing, crafts and games.  This is a weekly commitment, eiither 1st or 2nd service.
• Pre-School Helper.  Assisting the teacher in the various activities throughout the morning.  This is a once a month or bi-weekly commitment, either 1st or 2nd service.
• Sunday School Teacher.  Teaching kids God's love throough exploring the truths of the Bible.  This is a weekly commitment during 1st service only.
• Large Group Leader.  Teaching the Bible in a creative, energized, and age appropriate way.  This position is a once a month commitment during 2nd service.
• Small Group Leader.  Connecting with a small group of kids by playing a game, getting down on the floor, or whatever!  Through various planned activities, you help lead the kids to apply what was taught during the "large group" time to their everyday lives.  This is a weekly commitment during 2nd service.
• Tech.  Are you computer savvy? We need great tech volunteers that can make The Lighthouse rock!  No prep needed.  Just show up with your computer knowledge and have some fun with the kids.  Commitment level varies, 2nd service.
• Music Leader.  Lead our kids into a time of energized worship.  Once a month commitment, 2nd service.
• Program Director.  This position helps make the 2nd hour run smooth from start to finish by keeping time, collecting items for a small group leader, or whatever may come up that morning.  No prep needed at all for this position, just a willing, servant's heart with the gift of administration.  Once a month commitment.
• Check-In Station.  Cheerfully greet families as they arrive in The Lighthouse and get them checked in with a nametage and identification number.  Arrive early and stay a bit into each service making sure to catch any latecomers.  Once a month commitment, 1st or 2nd service.
• Stage Design.  Are you creative and handy?  This is the perfect spot for you!  Each month The Lighthouse has a new teaching theme and our stage needs to be ready for that new theme.  Once a month commitment, done on your own time.
• Nursery Clean Up.  Do you love to clean?  Well, our nursery department could use you!  Come wipe down, clean and sanitize toys and get them ready to be loved on for the next week.  Commitment level varies and can be done on your own time before the weekend services.
• Resource Volunteer.  Is shopping one of your spiritual gifts?  Lots of shopping needs to be done to help make our Sunday mornings successful!  A master list would be provided of needed items for the month and it would be your role to make sure those items are collected/ purchased for our ministry.  Can be done during the week, on your own time.
• Support Team.  Help with cutting, copying, and preparing resources needed for our weekend ministry.  Can be done during the week, on your own time.
