New Commandment Men’s Ministry is a nationwide ministry with the purpose of training men to meet long term needs in the church and community with long term ministry to widows, single parents and others.
At Lakeside, a group of men gather from 7:00-10:00 AM, one Saturday a month. We begin with donuts, coffee, devotion and prayer before organizing to do small home repair tasks. By 8:00 AM, we divide into groups, and go to the homes of our care-receivers to visit, pray, and do what ever needs done. Each group of men adopts a care-receiver for repeat visits.
You don’t have to be a handyman to help, just have a servant’s attitude. We wrap things up by 10:00 AM so the men can go home and be servants in their own homes. Our goal is to express Christ’s love to single parents, widows, and the elderly through home repairs and more. Come join us and bring your son along to help.
